Traffic Section

Cst. Sarah Day is currently assigned to this very demanding part of the service. While the public sees the enforcement end of her duties there is much more to her position. In fact, the enforcement is based on the analysis of traffic patterns in the city. It includes studying the locations and frequency of motor vehicle collisions, signage, education and maintaining a close relationship with the city engineering department. She is responsible for traffic education in our schools and community at large. Being the traffic officer also requires a keen interest and development in the area of motor vehicle collisions. Training in this area is extensive and demanding. Cst. Day maintains partnerships with Alberta Transportation taking part in commercial vehicle inspections and with the R.C.M.P. to conduct joint agency initiatives. Her important role with the Camrose Police Service helps to ensure safe travel in our community.
